The oral microbiome forms a natural barrier against unwanted microorganisms. A proper balance of these bacteria helps protect the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, nasopharynx and middle ear, which are the gateway to infections. Many people are familiar with the gut microbiome, but we also have important bacteria in our mouths - this is our first line of defence. This balance can be disturbed by a number of common situations - for example, the use of antibiotics, past illnesses or hypersensitivity of the mucous membranes, such as allergies. A healthy microbiome also supports mucosal immunity and helps maintain a balanced immune response.

GS Bacto 3 delivers a targeted combination of three clinically proven probiotic strains and vitamin D to work where it's needed - in the throat, nose and middle ear. It contains 3 billion bacteria in a daily dose.
- Streptococcus salivarius BLIS K12® - A patent-protected probiotic strain with over 70 clinical studies that naturally settles in the throat, oral cavity, nasopharynx and middle ear. It can displace unwanted bacterial species, thus supporting the balance of the microbiome. The effect can be seen as early as 3 days after the first administration and studies show that this strain can still be detected 32 days after discontinuation.
- Bifidobacterium lactis BL-04 - A clinically tested probiotic strain that acts in the nasal mucosa and supports the balance of the upper respiratory tract microbiome. Recommended when taking antibiotics and antiallergics.
- Bifidobacterium lactis HN019 - A clinically tested probiotic strain that has proven to be a suitable complement to BLIS K12® and BL-04. It occupies the sites normally occupied by bacteria associated with gum problems, such as periodontal disease, and thus contributes to the balance of the oral microbiome.
- Vitamin D- Contributes to the proper function of the immune system, which is especially important for mucosal immunity of the respiratory tract.
When to take GS Bacto 3
For long-term immunity support in the ENT area
To strengthen mucosal immunity and bacterial balance, especially for frequent problems in the throat, nose and ears, e.g. when taking antiallergics.

Especially during periods of high immune stress and when living among many people in confined spaces (collectives, public transport, airplanes, etc.
As part of oral care

During or after taking antibiotics
To restore the balance of the microbiome, which is severely disturbed.
Dosage and method of use:
1 lozenge per day to be dissolved slowly in the mouth. Do not eat or drink for at least half an hour after taking. It is therefore ideal to use before bedtime. For a faster onset of action, 2 lozenges can be used daily (1 in the morning, 1 in the evening, always after meals). We recommend to use the whole package and repeat the treatment after a month.
Before and during the winter season to strengthen mucosal immunity (October-March), GS Bacto 3 can be taken long-term 1 lozenge per day without interruption to stabilize the microbiome and mucosal immune system. Similarly, GS Bacto 3 can be used long term if needed before and throughout the pollen season (February-September) again 1 lozenge per day
