B-Complex with Vitamin C contains a complete spectrum of B vitamins. They play a key role in the body's energy-producing processes, which are needed to cope with stress. B vitamins are important in reducing anxiety, depression, irritability and nervousness. Thiamine (vitamin B1) acts as a cofactor in glucose metabolism and plays a role in nerve transmission. Like other B vitamins, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and niacinamide (vitamin B3) act as cofactors in enzymatic reactions to produce energy, as well as in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins – fundamental cellular processes in the body. Riboflavin may help prevent migraine headaches, which can be induced by stress.

Active Ingredients
- Thiamine (vitamin B1) acts as a cofactor in glucose metabolism and plays a role in nerve transmissions.
- Riboflavin (vitamin B2) and niacinamide (vitamin B3) act as cofactors in enzymatic reactions to produce energy, as well as in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins – fundamental cellular processes in the body. Riboflavin may help prevent migraine headaches, which can be induced by stress. B vitamins also support adrenal function and contribute to calming and maintaining a healthy nervous system.
- Vitamin B12 is an essential component of DNA synthesis, which is important for the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters, as well as for the proper myelination of nerve cells (sheathing of nerve fibres).
- Vitamin B6 helps in the synthesis of enzymes necessary to produce serotonin, a chemical in the brain that induces feelings of relaxation and calm. B vitamins are also involved in reducing homocysteine in the blood, an amino acid by-product with a damaging effect on the cardiovascular system.
- Vitamin C strengthens the immune system and improves its response to stress, making the body more resistant to disease. It increases blood levels of immunoglobulin G antibodies, the body's main defence against infection. Vitamin C also has a supportive effect on the adrenal glands (a key organ in the body's response to stress) by promoting the synthesis of adrenal hormones, which can be depleted from the body by stress. These hormones are involved in energy production, regulation of immune responses, control of inflammatory processes, maintenance of glucose levels and regulation of sleep. B vitamins and vitamin C are often called "stress vitamins" because they are flushed out during stress. They are water-soluble vitamins and the body does not store them. Therefore, a daily intake is needed. Most B vitamins, along with other nutrients, are also destroyed during transport and preparation for consumption.
