Movit Energy Sodium Butyrate
Sodium butyrate is the sodium salt of butyric acid (butanoic acid)—a short-chain fatty acid. Butyric acid is naturally produced in the gut through the bacterial fermentation of fibre and is considered the primary energy substrate for colonocytes, which are the cells that form the lining of the large intestine. The microencapsulation and capsule shell ensure that the substance does not break down in the acidic environment of the stomach and is released in a controlled manner within the intestinal environment.
