The Noctua NF-F12 PWM cooling fan uses the power of eleven stator guide vanes and an integrated seven blade impeller resulting in precisely directed airflow. Moreover, it is perfect for water cooling radiators or large CPU tower coolers. The Noctua NF-F12 incorporates Noctua PWM control, which ensures automatic speed control with very low power consumption. The fan is also equipped with the second generation SSO bearings and offers an unprecedented average service life of over 150,000 hours (17 years!). All this with outstanding performance, legendary quiet operation and all the features that are appreciated by true computer enthusiasts.
Focused Flow Frame + Heptaperf impeller
The Noctua NF-F12 PWM precisely directs the airflow, making it ideal for installation on water cooler radiators and large CPU tower coolers. The Focused Flow frame includes eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus airflow so that a higher static pressure is achieved at very low rotation speeds. The perfectly matched Heptaperf impeller and integrated anti-vibration pads help achieve almost silent cooling.
Special shaping + Vortex-Control slots
The NF-F12's stator guide vanes are set in varying angular distances with special control notches divided into two ends. This helps to spread noise emission over a broader frequency spectrum. Both functionalities serve one goal - making the fan's sound pattern more agreeable to the human ear.
Innovative PWM IC control with SCD
The Noctua NF-F12 PWM supports fully automatic rotation speed control. Its main advantage is the Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD), which eliminates unwanted jumps and delivers quieter operation, especially at slower rotation speeds. In addition, the fan comes with a Low-Noise Adapter (LNA) to reduce the maximum speed from 1500 to 1200 rpm. The LNA can be used both to set the speed to 1200 rpm and to reduce the maximum speed to 1200 rpm.
Extensive connection support
The fan is equipped with a short 20 cm cable and with the supplied 30 cm extension cable, it can be plugged into almost any spacious cabinet. Both cables are fully sleeved and their Y-structure allows for connecting the second NF-F12 to the same PWM head for automatic speed control.
SSO2 bearings
The time-tested proprietary Noctua bearings have been refined to provide the quietest possible operation. The Noctua NF-12 is the first fan to use optimized SSO2 bearings. In the second generation, the rear magnet is positioned even closer to the axis and therefore offers better stability, precision and durability, which also helps place the bearing in a massive brass body.
