A wide-angle lens for demanding photography and video projects on mirrorless full-frame cameras
The Rollei for Sony 24mm AF f/1.8 FE lens offers the ideal focal length for capturing expansive landscapes, detailed architecture, interesting reportage, or starry skies. An aperture with eleven blades ensures high brightness and smooth background blur. The advanced VAF construction is compatible with mirrorless full-frame cameras and provides high resolution across the entire image area. The lens offers silent and precise focusing, while the special HFT-X coating maintains clean contrast without flare and ghosting. The all-metal body protects against damage, and the optical system consists of 14 elements in 11 groups. Control is intuitive, and the metal E-Mount ensures a stable attachment and EXIF data transfer.
A lens with a 24mm focal length is suitable for capturing various compositions – expansive landscapes, detailed architecture, interesting reportage, or starry skies. A minimum focusing distance of 32cm allows for detailed close-up shooting and expands its range of uses – from detailed food photography to creative perspectives or reportage material.
The Rollei for Sony 24mm AF f/1.8 FE lens is equipped with an f/1.8 aperture with eleven blades, which ensures high brightness and smooth background blur. This allows it to perform well even in poor lighting conditions. The linear aperture ring enables silent and smooth aperture control, which is practical for both photography and video recording.
Thanks to its advanced VAF optical design, the lens is optimised for mirrorless full-frame cameras and delivers high resolution across the entire image area – from the centre to the edges. The special HFT-X coating effectively eliminates flare and ghosting, maintaining clean contrast even when shooting against the light or in low light conditions. The modern STM autofocus ensures smooth and precise focusing with support for face and eye recognition.
The all-metal body, weighing 477 grams, protects the lens from damage and contributes to its long lifespan. The construction is designed with an emphasis on reliability and comfortable handling. The optical system (14 elements in 11 groups) includes 4 ED, 2 HR, and 2 aspherical lenses, which minimise optical aberrations and contribute to high sharpness, contrast, and faithful colour reproduction.
The aperture ring, AF/MF switch, and programmable FN button create a clear and intuitive control layout directly on the lens. The metal E-Mount ensures a solid connection with the camera and full support for EXIF data transfer. The lens body houses an integrated USB-C port for quick firmware updates without the need for additional accessories. The process takes approximately 30 seconds. For using filters, a 62mm thread is available, allowing for better control over exposure and the final atmosphere of the images.
