ARCTIC Freezer 36-S A-RGB Black
ARCTIC Freezer 36-S A-RGB Black
The ARCTIC Freezer 36-S A-RGB Black processor cooler actively dissipates heat from computer processors under load. This air cooler uses aluminium fins and copper pipes to transfer heat from the processor to the surrounding environment. The fan, equipped with a fluid dynamic bearing, directs airflow at speeds ranging from 600 to 3000RPM. Its direct-touch heat pipe design increases the rate of heat transfer. The cooler supports installation on modern sockets and maintains an optimal operating temperature even during prolonged system-wide load. The entire cooling block weighs 685g.
Key features of the ARCTIC Freezer 36-S A-RGB Black processor cooler
- FDB fluid dynamic bearing fan operates from 600 to 3000RPM
- Four 6mm diameter copper pipes with direct processor contact
- Passive section contains 54 aluminium fins, each 0.4mm thick
- Fan generates an airflow of 77CFM
- System features twelve second-generation addressable LEDs for colour effects
Contact frame for stable mounting
The metal contact frame maintains even mounting pressure on the processor, preventing it from bending. This secure fit reduces thermal resistance between the processor and the cooler, thereby maintaining stable system operating temperatures over long periods. Installation with the double-sided backplate fixes the entire structure to the motherboard. The mounting system prevents mechanical damage to the socket and contributes to the long-term, trouble-free operation of the computer, even if the case is frequently moved.
High-performance processor cooler with fan
The included 120mm diameter P12 Pro PST fan features automatic PWM speed control, ranging from 600 to 3000RPM. The fluid dynamic bearing reduces friction and noise during rotation. The fan creates a static pressure of 6.9mm H2O to push air through the dense fin stack. It delivers a total airflow of 77CFM and operates at a supply voltage of 12V with a rated current of 0.33A. The 200mm cable simplifies connection to the motherboard.
Direct-touch copper heatpipes
Four 6mm diameter copper heat pipes are in direct contact with the processor's integrated heat spreader. This immediate contact accelerates heat transfer to the aluminium heatsink. The distributed arrangement of the pipes leads to an even distribution of heat throughout the entire volume of the cooling fins. Heat is drawn away from the processor without any additional layers, increasing the efficiency of the entire cooling process. The passive part of the cooler consists of 54 aluminium fins, each 0.4mm thick, which transfer heat to the moving air.
Widely compatible processor cooler
The design supports modern platforms from both major processor manufacturers. The cooler fits Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851 sockets, as well as AMD AM4 and AM5. The mounting system allows for future hardware upgrades without needing to replace the entire cooling block. Compatibility with these sockets makes it easy to switch to the next generation of processors.
Integrated ARGB lighting
The fan contains 12 second-generation addressable RGB LEDs for customisable colours. The lighting supports synchronisation with common motherboard systems via a standard 3-pin connector. Users can match the colour effects to the rest of their PC build. The LEDs operate at 5V with a rated current of 0.4A. Connection is made easy by the included 200mm cable, which has an additional 80mm daisy-chain connector for linking other components.
Compact processor cooler for smaller cases
The cooler's total height of 156mm makes it easy to install in mid-sized computer cases. The passive section is made up of 54 aluminium fins, each 0.4mm thick. The compact 88mm width leaves plenty of free space for installing tall RAM modules. Thanks to these dimensions, the cooler does not interfere with the graphics card or hinder the installation of other components around the processor.
