The versatile AXAGON EEM2-SG2 RAW external enclosure with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface is designed for M.2 NVMe or SATA SSDs. A reliable connection is provided by the reversible USB-C connector on the enclosure. The package includes not only a USB-C -> USB-C cable for connecting the enclosure to your computer, but also a USB-C -> USB-A adapter. This allows you to connect the enclosure to any available USB port on your laptop.

Fast Data Transfer
The second generation of the high-speed USB interface lets you enjoy the speed of modern M.2 SSDs. Thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, the transfer speed is up to 10 Gb/s. The external M.2 enclosure also supports other modern features such as UASP, TRIM and allows reading of S.M.A.R.T. information monitoring the drive's status. It also supports sleep mode when idle.
M.2 NVMe and SATA Drives
Thanks to the new chipset, a unique feature is the ability to use both M.2 NVMe and SATA drives. This means you don't have to worry about what type of M.2 drive you put in the enclosure. Another advantage is the mounting for three different SSD card lengths – 42, 60 and 80 mm. M.2 cards can be single-sided or double-sided. The enclosure has no capacity limit for the inserted SSD.
Easy Drive Swapping
The screwless opening of the enclosure makes installing and removing the M.2 SSD easier. Swapping drives is quick and easy, expanding the enclosure's potential uses for data migration, testing, etc. The outer metal shell has a titanium silver finish with an elegant brushed surface that prevents unwanted fingerprints. The rounded design of the case promises a pleasant user experience.
Versatile Use
The aluminium body of the enclosure, vents, and thermally conductive pad ensure very good cooling for the inserted M.2 SSD. This extends its lifespan and also prevents the drive speed from slowing down, a phenomenon known as “Thermal Throttling.” By inserting an M.2 SSD into the enclosure, you can easily create a fast, compact, and versatile external drive.
