Canon EOS RP delights with RF bayonet for exceptional optical performance
The redesigned RF mount allows the lens to be mounted at the optimum distance from the sensor, ensuring excellent optical performance and maximum accuracy in capturing all details. In addition to RF lenses, you can mount all Canon EF and EF-S series lenses to the Canon EOS RP without any loss in quality or performance.
Canon EOS RP and Dual Pixel CMOS AF
The full-format 26.2MP Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor uses all pixels for image processing and autofocusing, ensuring exceptional sharpness across the entire frame. The result is a perfect balance of sharp detail and reliable performance even in low light.
Faster image processing
The Canon EOS RP is equipped with a state-of-the-art DIGIC 8 image processor that processes images faster and more accurately than ever before. Digital Lens Optimizer (DLO) eliminates optical defects caused by the camera's low-pass filter, so the resulting image is as close to reality as possible.
Fast autofocus, 5-axis image stabilization
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor offers the world's fastest autofocus in just 0.05 seconds. Thanks to advanced technologies, the Canon EOS RP can easily focus in low-light conditions, as well as providing precise focusing of fast-moving subjects or eye detection for perfect portraits. Advanced 5-axis stabilisation with Dual Sensing technology effectively reduces image shake for maximum sharpness in videos even when shooting handheld. For perfectly sharp images with true-to-life colour reproduction, even without the use of flash, the Canon EOS RP has a maximum sensitivity of ISO 40000.
Tiltable touchscreen, precision OLED viewfinder
The Canon EOS RP mirrorless camera is equipped with a 7.5cm touchscreen with a fine resolution of 1,040,000 dots that features a tilting function for easy capture of creative images from unusual angles. Setting up the camera and focusing is intuitive and fast thanks to the touch controls. Perfect image control is ensured by the 0.39" 2.36-megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder with information display for easy composition.
Professional 4K videos with stabilisation
Record high-quality, smooth videos at a maximum UHD 4K (3,840 x 2,160 px) resolution with a frame rate of 25 frames (60p frame rate is possible for Full HD video). The Canon EOS RP also features time-lapse, interval shooting and HDR recording with high dynamic contrast. For maximum control over the result, the camera is equipped with headphone and microphone jacks.
Flexible connectivity and wide compatibility
The Canon EOS RP supports WiFi and Bluetooth wireless technologies, allowing you to connect the camera to your smart mobile device for convenient uploading of images directly to your phone. There is also the ability to remotely control the shutter release of the Canon EOS RP using the Canon Camera Connect mobile app. EOS R cameras are compatible with all existing Canon accessories including the full range of Speedlite flashes and specialist products such as the Macro Ring Lite range. This gives you even more creative options when taking creative photos.
