A switch is an active network element that connects individual devices and other network elements. It is designed for managing network traffic. The D-LINK DGS-1250-52XMP is supposed to be mounted in a rack. The model has a switching capacity of 176 Gb/s. The Switch is equipped with 48 × RJ-45 ports that facilitate connection with network elements. 4 SFP connectors serve to transport data via optical fibers. 10/100Base-T technology enables file transfer with a speed of up to 100 Mbit/s. 10/100/1000Base-T technology enables data transfer with a speed of up to 1000 Mbit/s. If offers Dual Personality ports, notable for incorporating both the RJ-45 and SFP connector ; however, only one of them can be active at a time. The switch dimensions are 440 × 430 × 44mm. QoS or Quality of Service technology makes sure the switch stays within its capacity, and it also enables you to set up end station priority. The D-Link device works with PoE technology that provides power and signal connection to end devices with just one LAN cable. Integrated LAN ports support a bandwidth speed of up to 1 Gbit. The weight of the switch is 3850g.
