The 8K 360° DJI Avata 360 drone with advanced imaging and an extended kit, including three batteries
The DJI Avata 360 is a compact 360° drone with a 1" sensor and an advanced imaging system, offering both 360° and Single Lens modes. It allows you to shoot high-resolution 8K video at 60fps and photos up to 120MP. It detects obstacles in all directions, which you'll appreciate during dynamic filming. LiDAR technology and integrated protective arches enhance operational safety. Video transmission is handled by the O4+ system, and the Spotlight Free feature makes it easy to share footage. Videos can then be edited in the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps. The front lens is replaceable and the 42GB of internal storage provides plenty of space without the need for a microSD card. High-speed Wi-Fi 6 supports data transfer speeds of up to 100Mb/s. The drone can stay in the air for up to 23 minutes and reaches a maximum speed of 64.8km/h.
The DJI Avata 360 drone with its 1-inch image sensor allows you to capture high-quality footage.¹ Shoot 360° video in 8K at 60FPS with HDR or take photos up to 120MP¹¹ with a single touch.² The 2.4μm pixels combined with the 1" sensor and HDR technology capture light and dark areas with a high degree of detail. In post-production, individual shots can be cropped as desired to create multiple outputs from a single recording. The drone allows you to seamlessly switch between 360° and Single Lens modes.⁴
The quadcopter features the O4+ video transmission system, which ensures a stable and high-quality live feed for a smoother flight. You can use the flexible control options to capture footage and use the Easy Acro function. The DJI O4+ transmission is highly resistant to interference and supports 1080p resolution at 60fps with a range of up to 20km.⁵
The DJI Avata 360 UAV offers variable control options. An RC 2 remote controller is available, or Goggles 3/N3 in combination with the RC Motion 3 controller, which enhances the FPV flight experience with 360° viewing. The shot moves along with your head movements. The DJI RC Motion 3 is also suitable for beginners. Two-channel colour video transmission provides an overview of the surroundings.
The safety of the DJI Avata 360 drone is ensured by several protective features. LiDAR located at the front helps to effectively detect obstacles, while the obstacle sensing function for night shooting³ in 360° mode is also useful for dynamic tracking. Integrated propeller guards further contribute to safer operation.
The unmanned aerial vehicle offers various flight modes and object tracking for better control:
Footage captured by the compact drone can be easily exported in its original form and then edited in post-production – for example, by changing the composition from any perspective. You can also adjust the flight direction, add creative spins, the Asteroid effect, or a dolly zoom. You can also export the unedited video exactly as it was shot. Editing 360° footage is intuitive and flexible.
Through advanced algorithms and the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps, tracking people, vehicles, boats, and other objects is very simple. In the DJI Fly app, just find the ideal angle by moving your phone, lock it, and then export the shot with a single touch. In both apps, you can easily add camera movement and completely edit the video. Thanks to a plugin, 360° footage can also be edited directly in Premiere.
* All videos and images on this page were shot using the DJI Avata 360 by professionals in strict accordance with local laws and regulations, and have been edited in post-production. All videos and images are for reference only. Always adhere to local laws and regulations, and ensure the drone has the relevant certifications and flight authorisations before flying.
** All data on this page was collected using a production model DJI Avata 360 in a controlled test environment. Actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
*** All images, videos, and on-screen content related to the product itself on this page are for reference only. Actual product features (including but not limited to appearance, colour, and size) and on-screen content (including but not limited to backgrounds, UI, and illustrations) may vary.
¹ Only available in 360° mode. When shooting in 360° mode, each of the two CMOS sensors on the DJI Avata 360 has an image area equivalent to a 1-inch 4:3 CMOS sensor.
² Only available in 360° mode.
³ Conditions for enabling omnidirectional obstacle sensing at night: The front, rear, left, right, or top of the drone is within range of surfaces with recognisable texture and lighting intensity exceeding 1 lux. Similarly, the ground surface below the drone is textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20% (e.g., walls, trees, or people), also under lighting conditions with an intensity greater than 1 lux. Do not fly the drone in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds (wind speed 10.7 m/s or higher), snow, rain, thunderstorms, or fog. Do not fly the drone at an altitude of 5,000m or more above sea level. Do not fly the drone in environments where the temperature is below –10°C or above 40°C. Do not take off from moving objects such as cars or boats. Do not fly near reflective surfaces such as water or snow. Otherwise, the vision system may not function correctly. The vision system may not function correctly in low-light environments. Always fly with caution and do not let the drone enter Attitude mode. DO NOT FLY near areas with magnetic or radio interference. Known sources of magnetic or radio interference include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage power lines, large power transmission stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers. Prevent sand from entering the drone when taking off from a desert or beach. Fly the drone in open areas away from crowds. Buildings, mountains, and trees can block the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing is only effective in 360° mode on surfaces with recognisable texture and under lighting conditions of 1 lux or more, and is not available when entering the playback interface. In Single Lens mode, only forward obstacle sensing is supported.
⁴ In Single Lens mode, shooting video in a 4:3 aspect ratio is only supported when using Goggles 3/N3 paired with RC Motion 3 or FPV Remote Controller 3.
⁵ Measured in an outdoor, open environment, without interference, and in compliance with FCC regulations. The 20km transmission distance is only available under FCC standards; in mainland China, the SRRC standard applies with a maximum transmission distance of 10km. The above data shows the furthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Always pay attention to in-app notifications during your flight.
⁶ The RC 2, RC-N2, or RC-N3 remote controller is required to use the ActiveTrack 360° function. It is recommended to use ActiveTrack 360° in an open environment. For information on unsupported scenarios or scenarios that may interrupt recording, please refer to the user manual. In complex environments with many obstacles, be cautious when using automatic mode to ensure flight safety and personal safety.
⁷ Sold separately.
⁸ The values shown were measured using the internal storage or a high-speed microSD card in a laboratory environment with low interference in countries/regions that support both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies. Actual download speeds may vary.
⁹ Measured at a constant speed of 21.6 km/h in a windless environment at sea level, with the camera in Photo mode, from 100% battery level until 0%. The data is for reference only. Always pay attention to the live view notifications during your flight.
¹⁰ A DJI 65W Portable Charger or DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter is required for parallel charging. The hub supports parallel charging with an input power of 65W or higher. Otherwise, the batteries are charged sequentially, with the least charged battery being prioritised.
¹¹ For 120MP/16K 360° photos, the resolution is 15,520×7,760 (120MP) in JPEG format and 15,360×7,680 (118MP) in DNG format.
