The Fibaro CO Sensor is an ultra-light, compact, battery-powered Apple HomeKit carbon monoxide sensor. It is designed for wall mounting and due to its very high sensitivity, it is possible to detect the presence of carbon monoxide in the early stage of leakage, preventing poisoning. Carbon monoxide is an invisible killer - an odorless gas that is dangerous not only to humans but also to animals. If this gas is present, you will be laerted by the integrated alarm, flashing LED and notifications within the Apple HomeKit network. In addition, the device is equipped with a temperature sensor.
The Fibaro CO sensor is a device that can save your life. Therefore, it must be tested under very strict conditions to meet the requirements of EN 50291-1: 2010. Tests are performed by an accredited testing laboratory BSI Group.
This clever device has been designed to be able to identify a potential threat immediately. Fibaro monitors key equipment such as boilers, oil lamps, fireplaces, stoves, and water heaters.
If the LED is green, everything is in the best order - CO is not detected.
In case of an orange colour, you should vent the room and check the heating source. Even a small concentration of carbon monoxide can cause you health problems.
Red means a great danger. The concentration of CO is so high that it can threaten your life.
Dangerously high concentrations of carbon monoxide can also occur in your absence. Thanks to Fibaro, you will know about this danger wherever you are. You get the information directly to your mobile phone. Exceptionally accurate measurement proves to be an ideal data source for different CO concentration graphs. You can also browse archive data at any time.
The sensor can act as a stand-alone device, but can be integrated into a home Fibaro system with other devices, lighting controls, door locks, cameras or heating systems.
