The Garmin Fenix series is an iconic range of smartwatches known for their high durability, long battery life, and versatile sports and outdoor use. They also offer continuous measurement of a wide range of health data, an elegant design, a rich selection of smart features, and compatibility with both iOS and Android smartphones. The 43mm size is suitable for smaller to medium-sized wrists. The Garmin Fenix 8 features a durable titanium bezel and a high-luminosity AMOLED display with bright colours and high resolution. The display can be set to Always-On mode or a sleep mode for extended battery life. In sleep mode, the display wakes up with gestures when you raise and turn your wrist with the Garmin watch towards your face. During sports activities, you can separately set whether the display should turn off or remain permanently visible. The display is covered by sapphire glass. One of the main innovations of the Fenix 8 model is the colour touchscreen, which has grown to a diameter of 1.3” compared to the previous model. The larger display affects the design of the bezel, which is thinner and gives the watch a more elegant look. The quick-release strap system also lets you switch between different colours or materials of straps to match your mood or outfit. The Garmin Fenix 8 watch uses straps compatible with the QuickFit 20mm system.

Sports functionality is one of the main reasons to choose a Garmin Fenix series watch. The watch uses a system of sports profiles dedicated to individual sports activities. The watch can provide detailed navigation over the map, including turn-by-turn navigation instructions while following a route. Routes can be planned directly on the watch, in the Garmin Connect mobile app, or using the popular Czech app Mapy.cz. Precise position calculation is ensured by a satellite receiver with support for GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO satellite systems and a multi-band Multiband GPS receiver. Optimal satellite reception is managed by SatIQ technology, which can automatically switch between multiple satellite signal reception modes to optimise accuracy and save power. A very practical tool on the watch is the built-in LED torch with red and white light and adjustable brightness.

From these measured metrics, the watch derives other functions and values, such as Body Battery, Stress Score, Heart Rate Variability Status, Temperature and Altitude Acclimatisation Status, and more. The group of health monitoring features also includes functions for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to the duration and Sleep Score value, the Garmin Fenix 8 watch also measures individual sleep stages, short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better sleep and recovery.
Smart features to make your daily life easier
The Garmin Fenix 8 watch can be connected to smartphones with both Android and iOS operating systems. On both platforms, thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker, the watch offers the ability to make Bluetooth calls directly from your wrist (the watch does not have a built-in SIM card and requires a connected compatible smartphone nearby for the calling function). On both platforms, the ability to display notifications and incoming calls on the watch screen is a standard feature. If you own an Android phone, you can also reply to messages directly from the watch display. With the Garmin Fenix 8, you can also record short voice memos or use the services of a voice assistant.
The Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch supports Garmin Pay payments
A popular feature is contactless Garmin Pay, which lets you add a digital copy of your regular payment card to the Fenix 8 watch (if your card supports the feature) and then pay with the watch in a similar way to using a payment card. Another popular gadget is the built-in music player with support for offline listening from Spotify, Deezer, or Amazon Music. Simply connect wireless headphones to the Garmin Fenix 8 via Bluetooth and listen to music even without your phone.
