From the measured data, the watch derives other functions and metrics, such as Body Battery, Stress Score, Heart Rate Variability Status, Temperature and Altitude Acclimatisation Status, and more. The health monitoring features also include functions for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to the duration and Sleep Score value, the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro watch also measures individual sleep stages and short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better quality sleep and recovery.

The Fenix 9 Pro smartwatch is equipped with Garmin Epic, a feature that lets you record, relive, and share several days of activities, including photos and health and performance data, as a cohesive story capturing the course of events. You can then view detailed maps and track your route on the Garmin Fenix's display. For outdoor activities, you can use TopoActive maps from all over the world. You can download more maps via a Wi-Fi connection. Through the Garmin Connect log, you can create a route you want to take, and the watch will then guide you step-by-step. The 'Up Ahead' feature informs you about possible points of interest. The Garmin Fenix 9 Pro features dynamic round-trip routing. All you have to do is enter the desired distance and the Garmin watch will suggest possible routes to meet your goal. The watch also comes pre-loaded with colour maps of more than 43000 golf courses and over 2000 ski resorts worldwide. You will also have the option to subscribe to the Outdoor Maps+ service.
