The oral microbiome forms a natural barrier against unwanted microorganisms. The right balance of these bacteria helps to protect the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, nasopharynx and middle ear, which are gateways for infection.
Many people are familiar with the gut microbiome, but we also have important bacteria in our mouths – this is our first line of defence. This balance can be disrupted by a number of common situations – for example, taking antibiotics, having an illness, or hypersensitivity of the mucous membranes, which is typical with allergies. A healthy microbiome also supports mucosal immunity and helps to maintain a balanced immune response.

GS Bacto 3 provides a targeted combination of three clinically proven probiotic strains and vitamin D that work where they are needed – in the throat, nose and middle ear. It contains 3 billion bacteria per daily dose.
Streptococcus salivarius BLIS K12
A patent-protected probiotic strain with more than 70 clinical studies, which naturally settles in the throat, oral cavity, nasopharynx and middle ear. It can crowd out undesirable bacterial species, thus promoting a balanced microbiome. The effect can be seen as early as 3 days after the first administration and, according to studies, the strain can still be detected 32 days after discontinuation.
Bifidobacterium lactis BL-04
A clinically tested probiotic strain that acts on the nasal mucosa and supports the balance of the upper respiratory tract microbiome. Recommended for use with antibiotics and anti-allergens.
Bifidobacterium lactis HN019
A clinically tested probiotic strain that has proven to be a suitable supplement to the BLIS K12 and BL-04 strains. It occupies places normally taken by bacteria associated with gum problems, such as periodontitis, and thus contributes to the balance of the microbiome in the oral cavity.
Vitamin D
Contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system, which is particularly important for the mucosal immunity of the respiratory tract.

Fillers/sweeteners (sorbitol, isomalt), probiotic cultures (Streptococcus salivarius BLIS K12, Bifidobacterium lactis BL-04, Bifidobacterium lactis HN019; may contain milk), acid (malic acid), anti-caking agent (magnesium stearate), natural flavouring (cherry), cholecalciferol.
Recommended dosage
1 lozenge daily, allow to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Do not eat or drink for at least half an hour after use. It is therefore ideal to use before bedtime. For a faster onset of action, it is possible to use 2 lozenges daily (1 in the morning, 1 in the evening, always after a meal). We recommend using the entire pack and repeating the course after one month.
Before the start of the winter season and during winter to strengthen mucosal immunity (October–March), GS Bacto 3 can be taken long-term, 1 lozenge daily without interruption to stabilise the microbiome and the mucosal immune system. Similarly, GS Bacto 3 can be taken long-term if needed before and during the entire pollen season (February–September), again 1 lozenge daily.
Warning
Not suitable for children. Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. The product is not intended as a substitute for a varied diet. The product is gluten-free, sugar-free and lactose-free.
