Matcha Tea is a premium dietary supplement containing finely ground Matcha green tea leaf powder. This traditional Japanese tea is valued for its high quality and rich content of natural ingredients. The consumption and drinking of Matcha tea has roots in Japanese culture dating back 800 years ago, when it was used and drunk by Zen Buddhist monks. Matcha contains catechins, natural antioxidants contained in the leaves, amino acids (arginine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, glutamic acid). Matcha contains theophylline (tea caffeine), which provides gentle and long-lasting energy without sudden spikes, released gradually over 3-6 hours. Matcha is also rich in polyphenols and chlorophyll, which is fat-soluble and gives the plants their typical colour. In our diet, chlorophyll is an important and rich source of magnesium. Vitamins A can also be found in Matcha Tea, E, C, K, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6) and minerals in the form of iron, calcium, potassium or zinc.
