Noctua NH-U12S redux

The Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 processor cooler is designed exclusively for AMD AM4 and AM5 (Ryzen) platforms and uses the SecuFirm2™ mounting system. The cooler is fitted with a quiet 120mm NF-F12 PWM fan with a maximum noise level of 22.4dB and a speed of up to 1500 RPM. The design uses five heat pipes and its compact 158mm height ensures excellent compatibility with most computer cases. The package also includes NT-H1 thermal paste.

Compact design with maximum compatibility

Thanks to its slim design with a fin depth of just 45mm, the cooler does not cover the RAM slots, even with two fans installed. Its 125mm width, including the fan and mounting clips, ensures the cooler does not overhang the first PCIe slot on standard ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards, allowing for seamless use in multi-graphics card configurations.

Fan with advanced Focused Flow™ technology

The NF-F12 fan with Focused Flow™ technology combines high static pressure with good cooling efficiency and quiet operation. It supports PWM for automatic speed control via the motherboard. To achieve even quieter operation, a Low-Noise Adaptor is included in the package, which reduces the maximum speed from 1500 to 1200 RPM. The cooler also includes anti-vibration pads and mounting clips for the optional installation of a second fan in a push/pull configuration, where the rear fan can be offset by 5mm to optimise acoustic properties.

Mounting and thermal paste

The SecuFirm2™ mounting system for AM4 and AM5 platforms allows the cooler to be installed in its standard orientation or rotated by 90° for optimal airflow inside the case. The package includes NT-H1 thermal paste, which ensures minimal thermal resistance, easy application, and long-term reliability.
