L-tyrosine - one of the twenty essential amino acids of protein, endogenous substance, that the human body can naturally make from another amino acid, which is phenylalanine, and the whole process is under the influence of enzymes, like phenylalanine hydroxylase. Tyrosine can form in the body as a result of natural synthesis, but the compound can also be supplied to the body with food. The amino acid can be found mainly in high-protein products such as meat, fish, dried legumes or dairy products.
