Fifth generation sensor and processor
At the heart of the X-H2S is the all-new 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HS layered sensor. Its "stacked" design enables up to 4x faster data read speeds compared to the previous generation, which is key to achieving astonishing burst rates and high-definition video recording. The sensor is complemented by X-Processor 5, which delivers twice the processing power, better image processing, lower noise and more accurate autofocus. The X-Trans CMOS 5 HS is capable of up to 40 frames per second without eclipse. In sequential shooting mode, the sensor's phase-detection pixels are controlled independently of the image display, tripling the number of possible calculations, allowing it to focus at an incredibly high speed between frames with precision and accuracy.

Increased memory capacity greatly expands the camera's ability to record continuous images in sequential mode without stopping. Achieve blackout speeds up to 40 sn. /s, shoot more than 1000 frames continuously at 30 sn. /s in JPEG format or write RAW images at 20 sn. /s* when using the X-H2S's electronic shutter. The HEIF image format provides 10-bit image quality in files up to 30% smaller than standard JPEG files.

RAW output via HDMI
In combination with the ATOMOS HDMI device, RAW video output from the X-H2S can be recorded as 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW with frame sizes up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97 fps. And when combined with Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12Gs, RAW video output from the camera can be recorded as Blackmagic RAW with frame sizes up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97 fps.
Intelligent object detection
The X-Processor 5 features autofocus with object detection, which is based on Deep Learning (AI) technology and automatically detects and tracks a wide range of objects, including animals, of birds, author, motorcycles, bicycles, planes and trains - as well as human faces and eyes. As a result, image makers can focus on composition and creativity with the confidence that the X-H2S will maintain precise focus.
Perfect overview of the scene
The high-resolution electronic viewfinder has a 0.8x magnification and uses 5.76 million dots to display incredible detail. Refresh rate of approximately 120 sn. The /s suppresses blur and distortion that usually occurs when looking into the viewfinder from sharp angles, making it easier to track moving objects more accurately.
Open Gate 6.2K/30P and high-speed 4K/120P video recording
Open Gate 6.2K movies can be recorded internally at 30P resolution in 10-bit colour 4 : 2 : The X-H2S's 26.1MP composite BSI CMOS sensor has an incredible readout speed of up to 1/180 sec*, which perfectly controls the effects of a moving shutter, resulting in a more natural look when recording video. The X-H2S also supports high-speed 4K/120P video. Now fast-moving subjects can be captured in incredible detail to create high-quality slow-motion footage. The camera features a new heat dissipation structure that extends video recording time to up to 240 minutes of 4K/60P video. **

**When recording video at 25°C cold start, with auto shutdown temperature set to "High", 100 Mbps bitrate, VG-XH vertical battery grip attached and three batteries. The length of recording depends on the remaining battery power and the type and capacity of the memory card used. When the main unit heats up, shooting can be stopped automatically.
Weather resistance
With sealing in 79 locations offering a high level of dust and moisture resistance, the X-H2S is built to withstand the rigors of everyday professional use and function normally in temperatures as low as -10°C.
Upgraded grip and touch shutter release
The X-H2S improves on the popular X-H1 grip and provides a more confident feel. This is especially useful when using lenses with longer apertures or large apertures. The feel of the shutter button has been modified to be more intuitive when pressed halfway, helping users to release the shutter at exactly the right moment.
Enhanced video features
Video control is made easier with a separate video recording button and a point-to-point LCD monitor with 1.62 million dot resolution that can be fully rotated - even when HDMI and microphone cables are connected. The X-Series also features a full HDMI Type-A port for the first time.
Increased connectivity
The X-H2S can be connected directly to a computer for use with a webcam and live streaming in 4K resolution, without the need to install FUJIFILM X Webcam software. It can also be combined with the optional FT-XH File Transfer Hub to support FTP file transfer and tethering via wired and wireless Internet connections or USB-connected smartphones. X-H2S supports Apple ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT. ProRes 422 Proxy is also available when recording ProRes, which can help streamline post-production workflows. In addition to F-Log, the X-H2S also supports F-Log2, which records an extended dynamic range of 14+ EV. *
