The Seagate Exos X16 16TB hard disk is one of the high load internal HDDs for NAS and ordinary data centres. The 3.5" format is made chiefly for desktop PCs, data centres, and other data-processing devices. One of the key parameters is obviously the number of revolutions per minute (RPM). The 7200 RPM RPM ensures faster data transmission. The total capacity of the hard drive is 16000 GB. The device has a 256 MB memory cache. You can link the Seagate hard drive and the PC or other devices is facilitated through the SATA III interface.

Seagate 3.5" disk is compatible with classic bays
Maximum power draw 10 W
Standard power consumption is 6,3 W, while in stand-by mode it makes 5 W
You can connect it to a PC or other devices using the SATA III interface
Standard hard drives are admittedly more susceptible to physical damage, but it's also the most cost-effective storage solution available
Other HDD Features
The HDD boasts a unique design. Inside the drive there is a mechanism with moving platters, complete with disk read/write heads. These mechanical parts don't take shocks and impact well, but on the upside, this design also delivers an excellent price/storage capacity ratio. The important parameter that affects the speed of a HDD is the number of platter revolutions per minute, generally known as RPM. In case of the Seagate Exos X16 16TB, you get 7200 RPM RPM. This is great news for people who demand more from their devices, for example video editors, graphic artists, people who play PC games, and everybody else who deal with large amounts of data. File access speed and stability is also significantly affected by the disk buffer, usually called cache. The Seagate platter drive includes a 256 MB cache that stores the last used data for their fast retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Seagate Hard Drive
In order to mount the Seagate Exos X16 16TB in your PC or other device, it must have a 3.5" slot. The communication between the HDD and PC happens via the SATA III interface with a standard speed of 6 Gbit/s. The technology is one of the best HDD data transfer options available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
