Carp Rods

Carp rods are strong and durable. They are suitable for catching heavier fish species such as carp, grass carp, or bream.

When choosing a carp rod, focus on its construction 

Telescopic

Telescopic rods are compact, easy to use, and in their folded state they don’t take up much space. They are usually made of fiberglass or composite. Stronger and a bit on the thicker side compared to multi-piece rods. Particularly suitable for beginners.

Multi-piece

Generally thinner and lighter compared to telescopic rods of the same length. They are not as compact (since they consist of 2 or 3 separate pieces) and putting them together can be somewhat time-consuming and requires some effort. Multi-piece rods are made entirely of carbon and some models are reinforced with braided carbon kevlar. Suitable for advanced anglers.

Also pay attention to its length and strength

Length

Longer rods let you cast your bait further.

  • For smaller fishing spots (rivers, streams, ponds) we recommend a rod 180-270 cm in length.
  • For larger bodies of water (lakes, large rivers, dams) the recommended length is at least 3 m.

Rod strength and cast weight

The ideal cast weight indicates the lure weight that lets you cast your bait the farthest. The lure weight should not exceed the listed maximum weight.
