The WD Black 10TB hard disk is one of the classic internal HDDs designed for gamers and other demanding users. The 3.5" format is designed chiefly for desktop PCs and data centres. One of the main characteristics is clearly the rotational speed of the HDD. The 7200 RPM RPM delivers improved performance and data speeds. The overall data capacity of the HDD is 10000 GB. The drive has a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Western Digital hard disk and a computer or other device takes place through the SATA III interface.

Other Hard Drive Features
Standard HDDs are notable for their construction. The enclosure conceals a mechanism that uses moving platters, complete with disk read and write heads. These moving parts are not particularly resistant against shock or impact, but this design delivers its amazing price/capacity ratio. The key criterion that determines the speed of a platter hard disk is the number of rotations per minute (RPM). In case of the WD Black 10TB, we have 7200 RPM revolutions per minute. It's a great model for more demanding users, for example video editors, graphic artists, people who play PC games, and everybody else who deal with large amounts of data. File access speed and stability is also determined the embedded buffer memory known as cache. The Western Digital platter drive includes a 256 MB cache that keeps the last written data for their prompt retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Western Digital Hard Disk
If you want to install the WD Black 10TB in your laptop or other device, it must be equipped with a 3.5" slot. All communication with the computer happens through the SATA III interface with a standard speed of 6 Gbit/s. The technology is one of the best HDD data transfer solutions available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
