The WD Purple Pro 10TB hard disk is one of the high load internal HDDs for 24/7 monitoring systems, e.g. security cameras. The 3.5" format is designed mainly for data centres and desktop PCs. One of the most important parameters is obviously the number of revolutions per minute (RPM). The 7200 RPM RPM ensures improved system performance and faster data transfer. The total capacity of the hard drive is 10000 GB. The storage has a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Western Digital hard drive and the PC or other devices is facilitated via the SATA III interface.
