The Zyxel FWA70 outdoor modem is used to receive a 5G and LTE mobile signal and convert it into a stable internet connection for home or business networks. This fixed network router supports the 5G NR Sub-6 GHz standard and operates in both NSA and SA modes with a theoretical download speed of up to 7.01Gb/s. The IP55-rated design withstands adverse weather conditions such as rain, dust and wind speeds of up to 118km/h. The device acts as a main access point in areas without a reliable wired connection. The product comes in recycled paper packaging to reduce its environmental impact. An integrated advanced power-saving mode reduces electricity consumption during inactivity, with a power input not exceeding 15W. Users can monitor current power consumption directly in the Zyxel One mobile app or in the standard web interface.

Mobile Connectivity
The device uses four integrated, non-removable directional antennas with a gain of up to 9dBi for signal reception even in challenging locations. 4×4 MIMO technology contributes to stable data transmission even in places with weaker mobile operator coverage. On 4G LTE networks, the theoretical download speed reaches up to 1.6Gb/s and the upload speed reaches 211Mb/s. It supports QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM and 256-QAM modulation for efficient use of the transmission band.
Durable Outdoor Design
The plastic housing with an IP55 protection rating protects the internal components from the ingress of water, dust and sand. The device operates in a temperature range of -30°C to 55°C and includes K.21 6KV surge protection for safe operation during storms. The construction withstands wind force equivalent to level 12 on the Beaufort scale.
Power and Interface
On the underside, it includes a single 2.5Gbit RJ-45 Ethernet port that supports Power over Ethernet according to the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. This port transmits power and data simultaneously, simplifying the cabling to the device when mounting on a mast. The Nano SIM card slot allows for easy access for quick commissioning.
Centralised Network Management
The entire system is managed via the Nebula cloud platform, which offers remote configuration and real-time network status monitoring. The Zyxel One mobile app helps you find a better direction to capture a strong signal from the transmitter. Administrators can also use the Web GUI interface or the TR-069 and SSH protocols.
Installation
The device's dimensions are 20×15×6.8cm and make it easy to place in different types of spaces without disrupting the surrounding look. The manufacturer supplies mounting kits for wall or circular mast mounting directly in the basic package. The device can be placed on a horizontal table surface, mounted on a window pane, or installed outdoors on a vertical wall and a support pole.
