Centrifugal juicers feature a rotating blade that slices and dices fruit and vegetables, allowing the centrifugal force to press the mass against a sieve and extracting pure juice. This juicer type is fast and prepares foamy, slightly watery juice without any small chunks. The juice should be consumed immediately after preparation. When choosing a centrifugal juicer, pay attention to its speed, filling opening size, and various useful functions such as the anti-drip system.

What makes a centrifugal juicer so special?
The centrifugal juicer is great for making juice from carrots, beets and other root vegetables, or apples, pears and citrus fruits (the fresher and juicier, the better). On the flipside, this type is not suitable for juicing leafy vegetables, herbs and tropical fruits, such as bananas. If you want to have fresh juice every day, the centrifugal juicer is the way to go. Unlike auger juicers, a centrifugal juicer can have your drink ready in no time. However, the juice has a lower nutritional value, because the fast speeds the juicer operates at cause the liquid to heat up. This destroys vitamins and enzymes, creates foam and
the juice spoils faster. It is therefore intended for immediate consumption.
How to choose a centrifugal juicer?
Power consumption
- The power consumption of an appliance determines how power-hungry it is, but also affects its performance.
- If you want your fresh juice done quickly and easily, choose a juicer with a power of about 500W.
RMP speed
- The more RPM, the faster you can process your fruits and veggies.
- For home use, we recommend choosing an appliance with a speed of around 15,000 RPM.
Filling opening
The size of the hole through which fruit and veggies are fed into the juicer plays a crucial role in how effective juice processing will be. For example, some filling openings allow you to insert an entire apple without having to slice it into pieces or peel it, which makes juice preparation considerably easier.
Collection container volume
If you have a large household and you all love fresh fruit and veggie juice, choose an appliance with a large collection container. The larger the container, the more juice you can prepare at once.
Waste container volume
The amount of fruit and vegetables you want to juice is also related to the size of the waste container. If you want a lot of juice, you will also have plenty of pulp left over. Pay attention to the waste container volume - usually it ranges between 1-3 liters.
Maintenance
If you want to juice often, we recommend choosing a model that allows you to put most parts in the dishwasher. This will make your work much easier.
Also note the dimensions and weight of the appliance so that it is easy to handle and doesn't take up much space.
Other functions and features
- LCD display - gives you an overview of what you are doing.
- DripStop function - prevents juice from dripping on the work surface, so you have less to clean after you are done.
- Press and smoothie functions - some models are more than just juicers and have other options how to process fruit and veggies. If you love smoothies in addition to fresh juices, you can buy one device and make both to your heart's content.
Auger juicers are designed for preparation of thick juices rich in fiber, suitable for all-day drinking (thanks to slow oxidation).
