8K 360° DJI Avata 360 drone with advanced sensing and an extended accessory kit, including three batteries
The DJI Avata 360 is a compact 360° drone with a 1" sensor and an advanced imaging system that offers both 360° and Single Lens modes. It can capture high-resolution 8K video at 60fps and photos up to 120MP. It detects obstacles in all directions, which is invaluable for dynamic filming. LiDAR technology and integrated propeller guards enhance operational safety. Video is transmitted via the O4+ system, and the Spotlight Free feature makes it easy to share footage. Videos can then be edited in the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps. The front lens is replaceable, and the 42GB of internal storage provides plenty of space without needing a microSD card. High-speed Wi-Fi 6 supports data transfer speeds of up to 100Mb/s. The drone can stay in the air for up to 23 minutes and reaches a maximum speed of 64.8km/h.
The DJI Avata 360 drone with its 1-inch image sensor allows you to capture high-quality footage.¹ Shoot 360° video in 8K at 60fps with HDR or take photos up to 120MP¹¹ with a single touch.² The 2.4μm pixels, combined with the 1" sensor and HDR technology, capture both light and dark areas with a high degree of detail. In post-production, individual shots can be cropped as desired to create multiple outputs from a single recording. The drone allows for seamless switching between 360° and Single Lens modes.⁴
The quadcopter features the O4+ video transmission system, which provides a stable, high-quality live feed for a smoother flight. You can take advantage of the flexible control options to capture footage and use the Easy Acro function. The DJI O4+ transmission is highly resistant to interference and supports 1080p resolution at 60fps with a range of up to 20km.⁵
The DJI Avata 360 drone offers versatile control options. You can use the RC 2 remote controller or the Goggles 3/N3 in combination with the RC Motion 3 controller, which enhances the FPV flight experience with a 360° view. The shot moves with your head movements. Control via the DJI RC Motion 3 is also suitable for beginners. Dual-channel colour video transmission provides an overview of your surroundings.
The safety of the DJI Avata 360 drone is ensured by several protective features. LiDAR located at the front helps to effectively detect obstacles, while the obstacle sensing function for night shooting³ in 360° mode is also useful for dynamic tracking. The integrated propeller guards further contribute to safer operation.
The drone offers various flight modes and object tracking for better control:
Footage captured with the compact drone can be easily exported in its original form and then edited in post-production—for example, by changing the composition from any perspective. You can also adjust the flight path, add creative spins, the Asteroid effect, or a dolly zoom. You can also export the unedited video exactly as it was shot. Editing 360° footage is intuitive and flexible.
Using advanced algorithms and the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps, tracking people, vehicles, boats, and other objects is very simple. In the DJI Fly app, just move your phone to find the ideal angle, lock it, and then export the shot with a single tap. In both apps, you can easily add camera movement and fully edit the video. Thanks to a plugin, 360° footage can also be edited directly in Premiere.
* All videos and images on this page were shot using the DJI Avata 360 by professionals in strict accordance with local laws and regulations and have been edited in post-production. All videos and images are for reference only. Always adhere to local laws and regulations and ensure the drone has the relevant certifications and flight permits before flying.
** All data on this page was collected using a production model DJI Avata 360 in a controlled test environment. Actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
*** All images, videos, and on-screen content related to the product itself on this page are for reference only. Actual product features (including but not limited to appearance, colour, and size) and on-screen content (including but not limited to background, UI, and illustrations) may vary.
¹ Available in 360° Mode only. When shooting in 360° Mode, each of the two CMOS sensors of the DJI Avata 360 has an imaging area equivalent to a 1-inch 4:3 CMOS sensor.
² Available in 360° Mode only.
³ Conditions for enabling omnidirectional obstacle sensing at night: The front, rear, left, right, or top of the drone is within range of surfaces with recognisable texture and illumination intensity exceeding 1 lux. Similarly, the ground surface below the drone is textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity of over 20% (e.g., walls, trees, or people), also under lighting conditions with an illumination intensity greater than 1 lux. Do not fly the drone in adverse weather such as strong winds (wind speed of 10.7 m/s or more), snow, rain, thunderstorms, or fog. Do not fly the drone at an altitude of 5,000 m or more above sea level. Do not fly the drone in environments where the temperature is below –10°C or above 40°C. Do not take off from moving objects such as cars or boats. Do not fly near reflective surfaces such as water or snow. Otherwise, the vision system may not function correctly. The vision system may not function correctly in low-light environments. Always fly with caution and do not let the drone enter Attitude mode. DO NOT fly near areas with magnetic or radio interference. Known sources of magnetic or radio interference include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage power lines, large power transmission stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers. When taking off from a desert or beach, prevent sand from entering the drone. Fly the drone in open areas away from crowds. Buildings, mountains, and trees can block the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing is only effective in 360° Mode on surfaces with recognisable texture and under lighting conditions of 1 lux or more, and is not available when entering the playback interface. In Single-Lens Mode, only forward obstacle sensing is supported.
⁴ In Single-Lens Mode, shooting video in a 4:3 aspect ratio is only supported when using Goggles 3/N3 paired with RC Motion 3 or FPV Remote Controller 3.
⁵ Measured in an outdoor, open environment, free of interference and with FCC compliance. The 20km transmission distance is only available under FCC standards; in mainland China, the SRRC standard applies, with a maximum transmission distance of 10km. The above data shows the furthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. During your flight, always pay attention to RTH reminders in the app.
⁶ To use the ActiveTrack 360° feature, an RC 2, RC-N2, or RC-N3 remote controller is required. We recommend using ActiveTrack 360° in an open environment. For unsupported scenarios or scenarios that may interrupt recording, please refer to the user manual. In complex environments with many obstacles, be cautious when using the automatic mode to ensure flight and personal safety.
⁷ Sold separately.
⁸ The data was measured using the internal storage or a high-speed microSD card in a laboratory environment with low interference in countries/regions that support both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. Actual download speeds may vary.
⁹ Measured at a constant speed of 21.6 km/h in a windless environment at sea level, with the camera in Photo mode, from 100% battery level until 0%. The data is for reference only. Always pay attention to the reminders in the live view during your flight.
¹⁰ For parallel charging, a DJI 65W Portable Charger or DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter is required. With a power input of 65W or higher, the hub supports parallel charging. Otherwise, the batteries are charged sequentially, with the least-charged battery being charged first.
¹¹ For 120MP/16K 360° photos, the resolution is 15,520×7,760 (120 MP) in JPEG format and 15,360×7,680 (118 MP) in DNG format.
