Super fast autofocus
The XF18-135mm uses an inner focus mechanism for rapid autofocusing speeds, in just 0.1 second. This was enabled by making the focus lens lighter and installing a linear motor. The Linear motor technology which directly drives the focus lens creates low noise for silent operation when shooting movies.
Image stabilization
The sophisticated technology used in the lens contributes in giving excellent picture quality and image stabilization. It is also very useful in shooting sharp images in every situation; sporting events, wildlife or reportage. It boasts of an improved stabilization performance, which detects movement in the low-frequency band thus effectively preventing blurs when shooting at long focal point or in low light.
Weather resistant structure
The lens is made of a weather resistant structure with an applied sealing on the lens barrel is strong against various changes that occur in a natural environment, such as sudden rain, dust, and splashes of water. The structure effectively prevents dust particles and moisture from getting into the lens allowing for a smooth use in the rain, snow or under negative temperatures.
