The Blackview ROCK 5 is an exceptionally durable mobile phone designed for long expeditions, working in demanding environments, and situations where a regular smartphone would quickly run out of steam. It combines a 20000mAh battery, a powerful 5W speaker, and an integrated camping light with a luminous flux of up to 348lm, so it can also function as a power bank, a portable speaker, or an emergency light. The features are complemented by a large 6.78" display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G100 processor, 12GB of RAM, and an advanced camera setup, including a 20MP night vision camera. Its IP68 and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H durability, prepare the phone for water, dust, drops, and extreme temperatures.
The Blackview ROCK 5 uses reinforced corners, an extra-strong back cover, an aluminium alloy frame, and scratch- and shatter-resistant Panda Glass. The construction meets the requirements of the MIL-STD-810H standard and is ready to withstand impacts, vibrations, rain, dust, humidity, and high and low temperatures. The phone can operate in a range of approximately −20 to 60°C, making it suitable for construction sites, workshops, expeditions, and winter trips. Its dimensions are 184×83×29.7mm and it weighs 635g.
Its IP68 and IP69K ratings provide protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure jets. The phone can handle being submerged in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes, and its sealed USB port helps prevent dirt from getting in. A practical feature can use speaker vibrations to remove trapped water and dust. The touchscreen supports operation in the rain, underwater photography, and Glove Mode 2.0 for use with knitted, leather, or even thicker work gloves.
The integrated 5W speaker delivers loud, clear sound that won't get lost even in noisier outdoor environments. It's ideal for calls, navigation instructions, music, videos, and warning signals. The Hi-Fi reproduction emphasises clear highs, fuller bass, and balanced sound without unnecessary distortion. In an emergency, the speaker can also be used as a loud SOS siren.
On the back of the Blackview ROCK 5, there is a large-area light with a power of up to 3.2W, a luminous flux of 348lm, and a range of approximately 10 metres. Low, high, and extra-bright lighting levels are available, as well as an SOS mode and a rapid flash. The light is useful for camping, night-time repairs, power cuts, cycling, or signalling your location to rescue teams. It can stay lit for up to 36 hours on a single charge and, thanks to its IP68 resistance, can also be used in adverse weather.
The huge 20000mAh battery of the Blackview ROCK 5 phone lets you head out on a multi-day trip without constantly searching for a power socket. It provides up to 88 hours of talk time, 47 hours of music listening, 37 hours of web browsing, 23 hours of navigation, or 22 hours of gaming. The standby time can reach up to 2280 hours, though the actual battery life depends on usage and environmental conditions.
Support for 33W fast charging helps to reduce the time needed to replenish the large battery. Through 5W reverse charging, the phone can supply power to wireless headphones, smartwatches, a camera, a small speaker, a fan, or another mobile phone. This means the Blackview ROCK 5 can also take the place of a separate power bank when you're on the go.
The front is filled by a 6.78" FHD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels, a screen-to-body ratio of 86%, and a brightness of up to 700 nits. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth content scrolling, animations, and in-game movement, while the 180Hz touch sampling rate contributes to a fast response. Widevine L1 support lets you watch content from compatible streaming services in Full HD resolution. A reading mode, night light, and dark mode make using the phone more comfortable in different lighting conditions.
The octa-core MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, manufactured using a 6nm process, operates at frequencies of up to 2.2GHz and works with an ARM Mali-G57 graphics chip. It provides the necessary performance for everyday apps, working with documents, playing videos, multitasking, and mobile gaming. A large cooling surface area of 10444mm² helps to dissipate heat more effectively and maintain stable performance under long-term load.
The phone is equipped with 12GB of physical RAM, which can be virtually expanded by up to another 36GB using the internal storage. In total, the system can work with up to 48GB of memory, which makes it easier to switch between apps and handle multiple tasks at once. For photos, videos, and apps, there is 256GB of storage, which can be supplemented with a microSD card of up to 2TB.
The main 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 camera uses a large 1/1.67" sensor, an f/1.9 aperture, and nine-in-one pixel binning technology. It can capture more light, finer details, and more natural colours even in less favourable conditions. The setup is complemented by Smart ISO Pro, a six-element lens, and up to 8x digital zoom.
A separate 20MP night vision camera with an infrared illuminator creates black and white images even in environments with no visible light. You can use it for night expeditions, checking your surroundings, security, or observing animals without significant light disturbance. The front 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 camera takes care of detailed selfies, video calls, and face unlocking.
The AI Photos application offers over 18 tools for quick image editing. It lets you remove unwanted objects, expand the edges of a photo, blur the background, change the environment, or even animate static portraits. The related AI Video and AI Music applications help you create videos from text or photos and generate background music.
The DokeOS 5.0 operating system, based on Android 16, offers a clear user interface, performance management, and a range of customisation options. It includes the Doke AI platform, which integrates tools based on the DeepSeek-R1, ChatGPT-4o mini, and Gemini 2.0 Flash models. The Hi Doki voice assistant can answer questions, help control the phone, and launch supported functions by voice, button, gesture, or a home screen icon. The availability of individual AI functions, models, and languages may vary depending on the region, connection, and software version.
You can assign the programmable side button to launch the torch, record audio, take a screenshot, activate the underwater camera, use PTT communication, or trigger the SOS function. The Toolbox app offers a compass, height meter, torch, noise meter, protractor, alarm, mirror, magnifier, plumb bob, and other practical tools. The coloured light around the speaker can notify you of messages, indicate charging status, or pulse to the rhythm of the music playing.
A quintet of navigation systems—GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS—ensures more accurate positioning when travelling or working in the field. The phone supports 4G mobile networks, NFC contactless technology, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2. The hybrid slot can hold two SIM cards, or one SIM card and a memory card. Security is handled by a fingerprint reader integrated into the side power button and facial recognition.
