The new Radeon RX 580 builds on the polar core of Polaris 20, which has received some interesting enhancements. The key to this is the increased clock rates, and overall better operating performance. The ASUS ROG STRIX GAMING RX 580 DirectCU III TOP OC works with up to 1 431 MHz.

Virtual reality within range
The impressive and absorbing experiences of this year's virtual reality (VR), has so far been the prerogative of precious high-end cards. With the Radeon RX 580 model, AMD aims to get as many customers as possible with this technology, and thanks to a favorable price tag, AMD can do it. The GPU itself is powered by 8GB of GDDR5 memory. By computing more than 5 TFLOPS, this piece can be equal to Pascal's competing NVIDIA chips, but they are twice as expensive.
Leading both in resolution, and frame rates
Connector equipment does not boast of modern architecture. In addition to the upgraded HDMI 2.0b port featuring 4K at 60 frames per second, you will find two DisplayPort connectors in the 1.4 version. The enhanced interface can handle up to 5K ( 5,120 × 2,880 pixels) or 8K ( 7,680 × 4,320 pixels) at 60 frames per second. There is also the Freesync support for smooth image and HDR for great color results. The Polaris architecture also takes H.265 acceleration to its hips to 4K resolution and even at 60 frames per second .

STRIX GAMING Radeon RX 580 graphics cards feature exclusive ASUS features, including Auto-Extreme technology, offering premium quality, and maximum reliability. DirectCU III technology uses silent fans with a new patented wing-shaped blade design to provide maximum airflow and 105% higher static pressure over the radiator.
