Located in the most charming corner of colourado, the Overlook Mountain Hotel gives the impression of tranquility, especially in winter. Wendy Torrence wants not only to relax there, but also to improve her broken family relationships. In contrast, her husband Jack, a bankrupt teacher and unrecovered alcoholic, took the job of off-season caretaker of the facility as an opportunity to escape life's misfortunes. Neither of them could have imagined the horrors that their five-year-old "enlightened" son Danny would have to face here, with dead guests, shooting mobsters and animated garden decorations appearing in the empty rooms. Is there pure evil lurking here? Maybe, although even their predecessors didn't fare so well on this grim journey.

This is guaranteed to scare you. but it's worth the literally explosive climax.
