Intel has launched the 8th generation of its Intel Core processors, this time branded with the label Coffee Lake. Basically, it has a very similar architecture to the previously successful Kaby Lake series. However, Intel has made various improvements, resulting in an Intel Core i7-8700K processor that delivers real-world performance, while maintaining low energy consumption.

The best CPU game today
The Coffee Lake architecture is once again based on a 14nm production process. The demanding manufacturing process is handled solely by Intel, with utterly stunning perfection, providing the Intel Core i7-8700K processor with a superb price/performance ratio. For the first time, the core i7 includes six powerful cores. The increase in the number of cores is accompanied by higher working frequencies, which have improved up to a whopping 4.7GHz benchmark, when in turbo mode.
What does DELID mean?
This process is a relatively sophisticated adjustment to the CPU itself. Intel has used a relatively common heat conductive paste between the chip and the heat transfer, with the result that local overheating of the processor during overclocking can happen in a matter of seconds. Michal Mikle safely processes, ("unwrap") the processor by applying the paste and then reseals everything into its original form. The result is a noticeable drop in temperature during its maximum load.
Intel Core i7 with unlocked multiplier
Due to the unlocked multiplier, this processor is suitable for games with overclocking. All you need to do is install a suitable cooler, have enough memory, and use a suitable piece of silicon.
Accessing data is facilitated by a fast 12MB L3 cache, which provides the cores enough time to respond instantly to all applications. The Intel Core i7-8700K processor is guaranteed to serve as a reliable building block for gamers. However, with existing performance capabilities, you can plunge into the world of virtual reality or into demanding video encoding.
Compatibility and motherboards
The Intel Coffee Lake platform contains quite a few improvements over the previous generation of processors, so Intel has decided to take a rather unusual step. Although this processor uses the well-known socket 1151, it will require a new motherboard. Specifically, a model with the Intel 3XX chipset.
Generally, the higher the number, the more powerful the processor. For an office PC, a basic processor series will be more than sufficient, but for more challenging work and gaming you will require a more advanced processor.

One of the main parameters of the processor, indicating the number of instructions that the processor can execute in 1 s. The higher frequency, the better working efficiency of the processor.
Generally speaking, the newer the technology, the more powerful processor, more fuel efficient and offers more possibilities for use. Currently, the best selling is the 22nm technology, however there...
L3 cache is the largest cache processor. Only one core can write, but it can be read from all the others. It brings greater importance for processors with four or more cores.

Bude stačiť na spojenie CPU -Intel Core i7-8700k 5.0GHz DELID- s vodným chladením procesora -NZXT Kraken X62- 1 gram tejto kovovej telpovodivej pasty -Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut (1 g)-? Neporuší sa nejako povrch ako chladenia tak aj procesora? Za odpoveď predom ďakujem.
