The Huawei AP361 WiFi Access Point is an indoor access point supporting the Wi-Fi 6 standard. This dual-band device operates with a combined transfer speed and can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Its design, with a diameter of 18cm and a depth of 3.5cm, houses a single non-detachable internal antenna. The access point supports modern MU-MIMO technology for efficient handling of multiple client devices. The device operates reliably in a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95% (non-condensing). The device itself weighs 450g without packaging.
The device transmits on two frequency bands, which share the total transmission capacity. It uses the 802.11ax, 802.11ac, 802.11g, 802.11b and 802.11a standards. 2×2 MIMO technology helps to stabilise the wireless connection on both frequencies. The channel width is 40MHz on the 2.4GHz band and 80MHz on the 5GHz band, with transfer speeds reaching 575Mbps on the 2.4GHz band.
The built-in smart antenna transmits a signal to an optimal distance of 20m. The manufacturer recommends operating with 80 concurrently connected users on a single network. The gain of the integrated antenna is 4dBi on the 2.4GHz band and 5dBi on the 5GHz band. The total transmit power is 23dBm for both frequency bands, contributing to stable coverage within the designated area.
Data transmission is protected by advanced encryption protocols that prevent unauthorised access to network traffic. The network administrator can secure the wireless network with several standards according to the specific requirements of the corporate environment. The network administrator can use the integrated DHCP Client function for automatic configuration of network parameters and remote management of the entire access point via the cloud: WPA3, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise, WPA2.
A physical connection to the local network is provided by a single RJ45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100/1000Mbps and an auto-sensing function for automatic speed detection. Power is supplied via an Ethernet cable using the PoE 802.3af standard, which simplifies installation in places without direct access to a power socket. The access point is equipped with 1× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port with support for PoE power according to the IEEE 802.3af standard, with a power consumption of 9.4W.
