The ProFX12v3+ analogue mixing console from renowned manufacturer Mackie continues the trend and flexibly adapts to current trends and requirements. Like the older version without the "plus" in the name, it offers twelve channels, a three-band EQ, a compressor, Onyx preamps with 60dB gain and virtually zero noise for maximum audio clarity, a GigFX effects processor with 24 effects (from reverbs to delay effects), and excellent recording quality thanks to a 192kHz/24bit 2×4 USB interface.
New is a Bluetooth-equipped channel for sending and receiving audio from a device such as a smartphone or tablet, offering podcasters an easy way to receive incoming calls. Further expanding the features are three USB recording modes - in Standard mode you record the entire mix of the main channels including effects and EQ to the PC/DAW, in Loopback mode you record audio from the PC to the mixing desk, which is ideal for streaming games or playing/improvising to backing tracks, and in Interface mode you record the pure signal from main channels 1 and 2 to the PC/DAW without any effects or EQ. As with the older version, seven channels are available with microphone inputs (2× XLR/1/4" combo, 5× XLR), line inputs (2× 1/4", 6 x 1/4" of which 3 x stereo, 1×1/8" stereo) four inserts, Aux Sends (1× FX Send post, 1× Monitor Send for), headphone output, footswitch input and balanced and unbalanced outputs (2× XLR, 2× 1/4" L/R, 2× 1/4" control room) including 2× 1/4" subgroup out.
