nJoy Cadu 650

nJoy Cadu 650
The nJoy Cadu 650 UPS uses line-interactive (VI) topology and provides an apparent power of 600VA, or a real power of 360W. Its integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) effectively stabilises network fluctuations across a wide input voltage range of 176V to 280V, saving the battery for actual power outages. At a half load of 180W, it will keep appliances running for 6 minutes. The Ultra-fast charger technology reduces the time needed to fully restore the capacity of the internal battery. This UPS for NAS and other sensitive electronics also protects the data network with support for 1Gb/s speeds. A clear LCD screen displays key operating parameters.
Key features of the nJoy Cadu 650 UPS
- Line-interactive topology with AVR voltage regulation
- RJ-45 (1Gb/s) data network and RJ-11 telephone line protection
- Integrated fast battery charger
- LCD screen for displaying operating information
- HID USB communication interface with no driver installation required
- Cold start function for starting without mains power
- Two backed-up Schuko output sockets
Performance and power management
The Cadu 650 is based on a line-interactive topology, which corrects voltage fluctuations without switching to battery power. The device supplies an output voltage of 230V with a tolerance of ±10% and has a real power of 360W. The UPS contains one internal, user-replaceable battery, type GP07122F. The integrated fast charger significantly reduces the time needed for a full recharge. In addition, the Off-Mode Charging function recharges the battery even when the UPS is switched off. An automatic alarm provides a timely warning when the battery needs replacing.
Smart functions and control
Communication with a computer or network storage is handled by an HID USB port that does not require specific drivers and is recognised automatically by the system. The UPS is fully compatible with the power management systems in Synology NAS storage. The cold start function starts the device directly from the battery, even without mains power. When the power supply is restored, the UPS activates the Auto-Restart function, which automatically switches on the UPS and the connected appliances. The operating status and voltage values are shown on the front LCD screen.
Connectivity and sockets
The UPS offers two Schuko-type output sockets, both of which are backed up by the battery. In addition to the power network, it also protects the data and telephone line. It includes RJ-45 ports to protect a gigabit network and an RJ-11 connector to safeguard the telephone line from voltage spikes.
