The Shanling H7 is one of the first devices to implement a brand new converter circuit designed by AKM. It consists of a pair of chips, the AK4499EX DAC chip and the AK4191EQ Delta-Sigma modulator. As one of the few portable amplifiers available, the H7 also offers direct lossless music playback straight from its microSD slot. It also features the third-generation XMOS XU316 chipset, which ensures first-class digital input processing and support for high-quality PCM, DCD, and MQA files. For maximum convenience, the amplifier supports Bluetooth 5.0 reception.

The H7 offers three headphone outputs and three gain levels. When using the balanced output on the high gain setting, it achieves a power output of up to 1.3W, which is enough for the vast majority of audiophile headphones. On the other hand, it has a very low noise floor, so at the low gain setting, you can also use the H7 with very sensitive headphones. The device contains two standard 18650 batteries with a total capacity of 6800mAh. Combined with a dedicated PMU chip for better power management, it offers plenty of capacity for practical use and extends battery life.
